Quick answer: Ermi Tekstil is a clothing manufacturer for startups in Istanbul, Turkey. We help new labels go from sketches or reference garments to a first collection: pattern making, samples, fabric sourcing, small first runs with low minimums per style, your labels and packaging, quality control and shipping. You do not need a tech pack to start.
What startups need from a manufacturer
| Need | How we handle it |
|---|---|
| Small first order | Minimums agreed per style and colour, confirmed in writing with the quotation |
| No tech pack yet | We start from sketches, photos or a reference garment and fix the details during sampling |
| Fabric sourcing | We source fabrics and trims in Istanbul and ask for your approval |
| A sample before paying for bulk | You receive a sample with the price quotation; bulk starts only after approval |
| Your brand on the product | Labels, hang tags and packaging as part of private label production |
| Delivery to your customers' market | Shipping through our contracted agent or your forwarder; EU duty-free with an A.TR certificate |
How to launch your first clothing collection
- Define a small capsule. A few well-chosen styles are easier to produce, photograph and sell than a wide range.
- Collect references. Sketches, photos, a garment whose fit you like, and the fabrics you have in mind.
- Prepare a basic spec. Our tech pack guide shows what to include; a simple version is enough to start.
- Request a quotation and sample. Send your project with quantities per style, colour and size and your target date.
- Refine through sampling. Try the sample, send clear fit comments, approve; see our sampling guide.
- Produce a small first run. Bulk follows the approved sample and the bulk order form.
- Sell, learn and reorder. Reorder what sells and add colours or styles in the next run.
Budgeting your first production
Plan for more than the unit price. A first collection usually includes:
- samples per style, and any extra sample rounds;
- bulk production at your quantity, where small runs carry a higher unit price;
- labels, hang tags and packaging;
- printing or embroidery set-up, if used;
- freight, import VAT and any duty in your market, plus labelling rules (see our EU compliance guide);
- product photography from the samples.
Our cost guide explains each line, and our MOQ guide shows how to keep a first order small without the unit price getting out of hand.
What we produce for new labels
- Dresses and womenswear, our main focus
- T-shirts, hoodies and streetwear
- Menswear and denim
- Bamboo clothing and other lower-impact fabrics
Why start your brand with a manufacturer in Turkey
For a startup selling in Europe, Turkey combines small minimums, fast sampling and short transport: clothing of Turkish origin enters the EU duty-free with an A.TR certificate, and goods reach most of Europe by road. Frequently asked questions
Can a startup work with a clothing manufacturer without a tech pack?
Yes. Sketches, photos or a reference garment are enough to make a pattern and a first sample. The details are then fixed during sampling and written into the bulk order form.
What is the minimum order for a new clothing brand?
We work with low minimum order quantities, agreed per style and colour and confirmed in writing with your quotation. Stock fabrics allow the smallest first runs.
How many styles should my first collection have?
Start with a small capsule you can produce, photograph and market well. Fewer styles also make it easier to meet minimums and reorder what sells.
Do I get a sample before bulk production?
Yes. You receive a sample with the price quotation, and bulk production starts only after you approve the sample and the bulk order form.
Can you put my brand labels on the clothes?
Yes. We produce under your brand with your main and care labels, hang tags and packaging.
