Fabrics for custom T-shirts

  • Combed cotton jersey: smooth surface, good for printing, the everyday standard.
  • Heavyweight cotton jersey: structure and drape for oversized and premium tees.
  • Organic cotton: with supplier certificates; see sustainable production.
  • Cotton-elastane: stretch and recovery for fitted styles.
  • Bamboo viscose jersey: soft and fluid, labelled as viscose.

Cut and sew T-shirts vs blank T-shirts

Printing on stock blanks is quick, but the fit, fabric and details are the blank supplier's. A cut and sew T-shirt is made from fabric to your pattern, so it becomes your product: your fit, your neck rib, your length, your labels sewn in. Read more on our cut and sew manufacturing page.

Printing, embroidery and finishing

Printing and embroidery are agreed at the sampling stage, including technique, size and placement, so the sample shows the final look. Before bulk we also check the details that decide how a T-shirt ages:

  • neck rib recovery, so collars do not stretch out;
  • shrinkage and twisting after washing;
  • clean twin-needle or cover-stitched hems;
  • shoulder seams stabilised with tape;
  • print durability on the sample fabric.

Minimum orders and bulk production

We agree minimums per style and colour and confirm them in writing with the quotation. T-shirts in stock jerseys allow small first runs; custom colours carry the mill's minimum. See our MOQ guide and cost guide to plan the order, and our production process for the steps from sample to shipping.

Private label T-shirts

Every T-shirt is finished as your product, with main and care labels, hang tags and packaging, as part of our private label clothing service. If you are launching a brand, see how we work with startups.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for custom T-shirts?

We work with low minimum order quantities, agreed per style and colour and confirmed in writing with your quotation.

Can I get a sample T-shirt before bulk?

Yes. You receive a sample with the price quotation, and bulk production starts only after you approve it.

Do you print or embroider T-shirts?

Yes. Technique, size and placement are agreed at sampling so the sample shows the final result.

Can you make oversized or heavyweight T-shirts?

Yes. Oversized and boxy fits get their own patterns, and we source heavier jerseys for the structure they need.

Are your T-shirts cut and sew or blanks?

Cut and sew: each T-shirt is made from fabric to your pattern, not decorated from stock blanks.
